Meet Dr. B, ND
Dr. Brenda Bithoney (pronounced Bith-ah-nee), more affectionately known as Dr. B, is a licensed naturopathic doctor and co-founder of Cedar and Sage Naturopathic Health. The foundation of Dr. B’s practice is helping patients uncover the root causes of illness and achieving lasting wellness through compassionate, evidence-informed care. She believes healing is most effective when patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to actively participate in their health journey.
Her approach blends modern medical knowledge with the principles of naturopathic medicine, focusing on treating the whole person rather than simply managing symptoms. She takes the time to understand each patient's unique story, recognizing that every individual has different needs, goals, and circumstances.
One of the naturopathic principles Dr. B finds most helpful in the healing journey is Doctor as Teacher. She is passionate about helping patients understand how their bodies work so they can make informed decisions about their health. Her goal is not only to help patients feel better but also to equip them with the tools and understanding to maintain their health for years to come.
Dr. B has experience caring for patients with a wide range of health concerns, including, but not limited to endometriosis, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS)/formerly known as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, perimenopause, and menopause; thyroid disorders; digestive conditions such as SIBO/IMO and preventive wellness. Dr. B also treats children with conditions such as chronic digestive disorders, eczema, asthma and allergies. She develops personalized treatment plans that integrate nutrition, lifestyle changes, botanical medicine, targeted supplementation, and appropriate diagnostic testing to support each patient's unique health goals.
Dr. B strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, feel genuinely cared for, and leave feeling more confident about their health. She especially enjoys working with patients who are ready to be active participants in their healing journey, value a little laughter along the way, and appreciate a partnership built on mutual respect.
Outside of the clinic, you'll likely find Dr. B tending to her garden, adding to her growing collection of houseplants, and spending time with her boyfriend and their German shepherd, Gwen.
Meet Dr. Cardarelli, ND
Dr. Noelle Cardarelli is a licensed naturopathic doctor in Rhode Island and co-founder of Cedar and Sage Naturopathic Health. Originally from Massachusetts, she earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master's in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Dr. Cardarelli believes that true healing begins with listening. Every symptom has a story, and every patient deserves the time and attention needed to tell it. Many people spend years searching for answers, piecing together symptoms that never seem to fit neatly into a diagnosis. Her goal is to understand the bigger picture—what is happening, what may be contributing, and how health concerns are impacting a person's daily life.
Her approach combines the foundational principles of naturopathic medicine with modern, evidence-informed healthcare. She uses comprehensive laboratory testing, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, targeted supplementation, and other therapies to create practical, individualized treatment plans.
Dr. Cardarelli believes healthcare is strongest when it is collaborative. She enjoys working alongside patients and their existing healthcare teams, recognizing that both natural and conventional medicine have valuable roles in supporting health and are often most effective when thoughtfully integrated. She believes meaningful healing happens through a therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and a shared commitment to lasting health.
Dr. Cardarelli has experience caring for patients with a wide range of health concerns, with particular interests in gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS, IBD, SIBO and IMO. She also has a special interest in psoriasis, interstitial cystitis (IC), PMOS/PCOS and chronic pain conditions.
Whether a patient has been searching for answers for years or is simply looking to optimize their health, she strives to provide care that is compassionate and approachable. Above all, she wants every patient to leave feeling truly seen and reassured that their concerns matter.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cardarelli enjoys exploring local thrift stores, attending live music, photography, and spending time with her wife, dog, and close-knit community.
