Cedar & Sage Naturopathic Health was co-created by two like-minded physicians, Drs. Bithoney and Cardarelli, with a shared vision: to provide thoughtful, compassionate, healthcare that honors the connection between science, nature, and the individual. Inspired by the grounding and protective qualities of cedar and the cleansing and renewing traditions of sage, our practice was built to be a place where patients feel safe, supported, and empowered on their health journey.

Like the plants that inspired our name, Cedar & Sage represents strength, balance, and restoration—a space where modern medicine and naturopathic principles come together to help patients connect with their bodies.

Who We Are

What Is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a system of healthcare that combines modern medical science with evidence-informed natural therapies to support the body's ability to heal and maintain health. It prioritizes the most natural, least invasive and least harmful therapies to treat illness, and promotes wellness by viewing the body as an integrated whole.

At Cedar & Sage Naturopathic Health, we integrate naturopathic principles with modern medicine through comprehensive laboratory testing, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, targeted supplementation, and collaboration with your existing healthcare team. We believe the best care often comes from thoughtfully combining natural and conventional approaches.

In Rhode Island, licensed naturopathic physicians are trained healthcare professionals who can evaluate health concerns, order appropriate laboratory testing, and utilize natural therapies within their respective scope. Naturopathic medicine is intended to complement, not replace, care provided by your physicians and other healthcare professionals.
